The Northwestern Annual Fund

Last year, more than 43,500 individual donors contributed to the Northwestern Annual Fund with gifts ranging in size from $1 to $100,000. Every contribution is significant. Make your gift today.

Annual Fund gifts are used at the discretion of the University president, deans, and faculty leaders and enable Northwestern to respond to opportunities as they arise with ease and flexibility.

Gifts to the Annual Fund provide funding for:
  • need-based scholarships
  • faculty recruitment
  • academic innovations
  • smaller class sizes
  • facility improvements
  • research opportunities
  • intensive field studies
  • and more.
The Annual Fund also provides support for more than 200 social, cultural, and athletic activities. You may direct your annual gift your area of greatest interest or passion: a particular college or school, the Block Museum of Art, Scholarships and Student Aid, Student Life, University Library, or Wildcat Athletics. You may also direct your gift to University Unrestricted or Undergraduate Scholarships.

Gifts at certain levels offer recognition in giving societies or by a Reunion class. Donors who contribute leadership gifts of $1,000 and above to any area of the University receive membership in the Northwestern University Leadership Circle.
