Target hiring range for this position will be between $80,000 - $90,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Donor Engagement will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing highly curated events for major donors and prospects. Serving as a strategic partner to the Director of Donor Engagement and Major Gift officers, this role will collaborate closely to design and deliver personalized engagement strategies that deepen donor relationships, inspire philanthropic investment, and advance the University’s fundraising priorities.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, highly organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to strategically balance innovative “big picture” thinking with tactical execution while managing multiple concurrent high-level events in a fast-paced environment. The role calls for exceptional relationship-building skills, excellent written and verbal communication, team collaboration, and strong analytical skills to interpret data and inform engagement strategies.
This position is based in Northwestern University’s New York Regional Office and reports to the Director of Donor Engagement. The office operates on a hybrid schedule, with three days in the office and two days remote. Occasional evening or weekend hours are required to support donor engagement events.
