Hong Kong

Northwestern University has partnered with a registered charity—Chapel & York Hong Kong Foundation—to provide a tax-efficient solution for charitable giving from our alumni and friends in Hong Kong.

Gifts to the foundation may be designated to support a school or program that advances and promotes Northwestern’s educational work. Donors considering a gift to a specific school, program, or area should contact Alex Herrera at aherrera@northwestern.edu to ensure that their intentions can be fulfilled.

Visit giving.northwestern.edu/hongkong for more information about giving to Chapel & York Hong Kong Foundation.

United Kingdom

Northwestern University (USA) Foundation Limited is an officially registered charity in the United Kingdom. The foundation offers increased tax benefits for our generous alumni and friends throughout the UK for gifts supporting the benefit of education at the University.

Gifts to the foundation are eligible for both UK and US tax reliefs—a deduction in the United States and Gift Aid in the UK. Gift Aid is a UK tax relief scheme that enables charities like the foundation to reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift, thus increasing your gift by 25 percent, and allows donors who are higher-rate tax payers to claim additional relief on their UK tax return.
