Northwestern’s annual donors make a difference.

 

Annual gifts to the Northwestern Annual Fund, scholarships as well as the Bienen School of Music, McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science, Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications, School of Communications, School of Education and Social Policy, and Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences help provide essential and flexible resources for the University and schools as well as the intellectual growth of students. In addition, annual gifts to the Wildcat Fund, the Student Life Gift Fund, University Libraries, and the Block Museum of Art enhance the student experience. The President’s Fund supports the President’s highest priorities and helps to navigate the University’s emerging needs.

Each year, thousands of donors give to Northwestern with gifts ranging from under $25 to over $50,000, and all together, these contributions make a difference for students, Deans, and University leadership and help the University to move forward.

Annual gifts can qualify you for university-wide giving societies including the 1851 Society, which recognizes annual donors who give to the Northwestern Annual Fund or University Scholarships; NU Loyal, which recognizes donors who give consecutively for 3 years or more; and the Northwestern University Leadership Circle (NULC), which recognizes annual donors who give $1,000 or more.

Northwestern Fiscal Year and Related Recognition

Northwestern’s fiscal year is from September 1 through August 31. Annual Giving recognition, as well as recognition in the NU Loyal and Northwestern University Leadership Circle (NULC) giving societies, correspond to Northwestern’s fiscal year.
