The target budgeted salary for this position is $145,000 to $160,000 annually. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
The International Development team at Northwestern University leads a comprehensive campus-wide program designed to engage alumni, parents, and friends worldwide. With a focus on cultivating a global philanthropic community, the team focuses on building relationships that result in significant philanthropic investments in the University’s highest priorities, academic schools and programs, and in support of faculty and students. In partnership with university leadership, Alumni Relations and Development, and colleagues across campus, the team is responsible for developing, executing, and advancing Northwestern’s strategic global fundraising program.
Job Summary:
The Director of International Development will design, implement, and oversee international region-specific strategies that engage and inspire philanthropic participation through qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. As a key contributor to the University’s next comprehensive fundraising campaign, this new position will drive cohesive international fundraising strategies and advance strategic investment in cultivating and engaging the University’s top international prospects. In addition, this role will be responsible for managing their own fundraising portfolio focused in Taiwan, Singapore, and South Korea.
This position reports to the Assistant Vice President, Principal Gifts and International Development and manages one direct report, Senior Program Coordinator. Eligible for hybrid work arrangement with at least three days in the office located in Evanston, Illinois. The position requires regular international travel and involves travel with the president, deans, faculty or other senior administrators throughout the year.
