A Letter to the Class of 2024 by Edie Howard Bostic and Kathryn Kimura Mlsna

Platinum-level NU Loyal members and 50th Reunion celebrants Edie Howard Bostic and Kathryn Kimura Mlsna cowrote a poignant letter to the Northwestern University Class of 2024. To mark this milestone life event, they reflected on the inspiration they received from their peers and professors at Northwestern and hope that this year’s graduating class feels the same optimism to change the world.

Bostic and Mlsna met on the Evanston campus their freshman year in 1970 and have been close friends for 54 years. They are both active in the alumni community, serving as Northwestern Alumni Association Alumni Regents, and have received the NAA Alumni Service Award for their contributions to the University.
