Letter from Charles Katzenmeyer: We Are Everywhere

Connecting with the Northwestern family is always rewarding. It’s one of the best parts of serving as chair for NU Loyal, the giving society for donors who make gifts to Northwestern in consecutive years.

NU Loyal members are everywhere. This fall I was in a car rental place in Minneapolis when a young alum recognized my NU T-shirt and introduced himself. We chatted and, without any prompting, he mentioned how “cool” it was that our university had a program to recognize consistent lifetime giving.

He was excited about the notion of being an every-year donor, and that’s true for many of us. Membership in NU Loyal continues to grow as alumni, parents, and friends witness the impact of our generosity on Northwestern and the world.

During We Will. The Campaign for Northwestern, we aim to have NU Loyal membership reach 40,000. Your support helps us move one step closer to that ambitious goal. Our community is worldwide, ranging across all class years, schools, and professions.

NU Loyal members understand that our gifts, whatever the amount, provide immediate funds that make Northwestern an exceptional place to learn, live, and make a difference. In each NU Loyal newsletter, we present an inspiring member profile; in this issue we’re also pleased to show how your generosity is improving campus residence halls for current and future students.
