The Chester Gould Society

At the School of Professional Studies

Named in honor of the School of Professional Studies alumnus and cartoonist of Dick Tracy fame, the Chester Gould Society recognizes the generosity of alumni and friends who support SPS with annual gifts of $1,000 or more.

Through their generosity, Chester Gould Society members play an important role in the current and future success of SPS by:

  • Supporting merit- or need-based scholarships for qualified students
  • Providing financial resources to students participating in unpaid internships
  • Advancing knowledge by enabling students to participate in research opportunities with distinguished Northwestern faculty
  • Offsetting the expenses incurred by students to attend conferences and join professional organizations
  • Sustaining the Dean’s Innovation Fund, which identifies new high-value student programs and supports faculty in developing innovative teaching methods

Northwestern University Leadership Circle

Chester Gould Society members are also recognized as members of the Northwestern University Leadership Circle (NULC), the University-wide giving society that strengthens the bond between Northwestern and its dedicated supporters. NULC fosters a vibrant community of engaged philanthropists who provide a broad base of support for Northwestern. Matching gifts from companies and firms count toward membership.
