This academic year marks the 150th anniversary of women’s education at Northwestern. To commemorate this important milestone, the University is celebrating individuals who have led the struggle to open doors, creating greater access and opportunity for all who followed.
Three accomplished women received the Northwestern Alumni Medal this past fall, the Northwestern Alumni Association’s highest honor. The University proudly celebrated Lisa M. Franchetti ’85; Bridgette Proctor Heller ’83, ’85 MBA; and Yie-Hsin Hung ’84, as well as the impact these alumnae have made in their careers and communities. Dedicated to their alma mater, all three are members of NU Loyal, having made gifts to Northwestern for three consecutive years or more.
The 2019 Alumni Medal recipients join a select group of 103 alumni—from innovative entrepreneurs to award-winning writers to public servants—who have been recognized with this award since 1932. Read more about the Alumni Medalists and their accomplishments here.
