Silver, Sword, and Stone: Three Crucibles in the Latin American Story by Marie Arana ’71
Arana is the current literary director at the Library of Congress, a writer at large for the Washington Post, and serves on the board of directors at the American Writers Museum.

Lady in the Lake by Laura Lippman ’81
The New York Times best-selling author has received more than 20 awards for her fiction writing and has been nominated for an additional 30.

Heaven, My Home by Attica Locke ’95
Locke is a novelist as well as screenwriter. Most recently, she was a writer and producer on Netflix’s When They See Us and the Hulu adaptation of Little Fires Everywhere.

Orange World and Other Stories by Karen Russell ’03
The debut novel from Russell, Swamplandia!, was a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. She also received a MacArthur Foundation “genius grant” in 2013.

She Was Like That: New and Selected Stories by Kate Walbert ’83
Walbert is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and her work has appeared in the New Yorker and the Paris Review.
